TO TRAIN SELECTED SOF, DOD AND FOREIGN PERSONNEL AS ADVANCED MILITARY FREE-FALL PARACHUTISTS
SCOPE: ADVANCED FREE-FALL SKILLS
USE OF NON-STANDARD PARACHUTE EQUIPMENT
POTENTIAL NEW TRAINING (TANDEM, MC-5, ETC)
Noncommissioned officers assigned as military free-fall parachute instructors to the United States Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School who are qualified in military free-fall evaluation jumps using a standard parachute system (e.g., MC-4, MT1-XX, etc.), free-fall simulator training and evaluation, air skills evaluation using nonstandard parachute equipment, and an on-the-job training phase. Personnel from other SF Operational units may also attend. They will return to their unit a more skilled and competent MFF Jumper and Jumpmaster. This is not a MFF Instructor producing course. Upon completion, soldiers are classed as an Instructor Candidate and must complete 3 months of evaluated OJT with actual students.

3. Students must report for inprocessing to Company B, Building 305 (conference room), not later than 0645 on the actual class start day. However, students may report two days prior to the class start date if desired. Personnel arriving prior to the class start date will report to the Company B operations office for room assignments. Company B will assign rooms as students arrive at YPG. No reservations are necessary. Company B will not issue statements of nonavailability. Students should call Company B operations prior to their arrival to confirm their inprocessing schedule and to receive any special instructions.
4. Students reporting for inprocessing must have their complete medical records (with original HALO physical), a current panorex dental X-ray, and five copies of orders attaching them to Company B, 2d Battalion, 1st SWTG(A), for the purpose of attending the AMFFPC. Students who report without their medical records and orders will not enter training. Students will also report with service dictated jump records (i.e. Da 1307, USASOC 1099, AF 922, proof of currency and jumps).
5. U.S. Army students must bring a copy of DA Form 2A/2-1 or DA Form 2B/2-1.
6. Orders to the AMFFPC must state that government quarters are available at YPG for $8 per day. Government mess facilities are not available. There are commercial eating establishments on YPG within 1/4 mile from billeting. The nearest town is Yuma which is 25 miles away.
7. Students on separate rations or per diem and will provide for their own meals during training. Company B, 2d Battalion, 1st SWTG(A), will not issue meal cards.
8. Students with meal cards must arrange for separate rations or per diem prior to departing from their parent unit.
9. Company B will extend class dates to achieve course graduation standards if academic requirements are not met because of adverse weather conditions or air scheduling conflicts. Students must stay until the rescheduled graduation dates or return to their parent units without qualification. Students will not make return travel arrangements until actual graduation dates have been set. Students will not graduate early because of unit deployment, follow-on temporary duty/temporary additional duty, or travel arrangements locked in prior to the graduation date.
Prerequisites: Special operations forces noncommissioned officers of the Active component of the United States Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School who are qualified and current military free-fall jumpmasters assigned to a military free-fall coded position. Must be a senior E-6 or junior E-7 with no more than 12 years of military service. Must posses a current high-altitude, low-opening (HALO) physical examination IAW AR 40-501, Chapter 5, paragraph 5-5, within three years prior to class date. Must possess a current physiological training card (Chamber Card, AF Form 1274). Must report with complete medical records and chamber card on day of inprocessing.
Instructions in AR 40-501, Chapter 8, paragraph 8-26C, should be initiated NLT 45 days prior to reporting date.
Priority of attendance is USAJFKSWCS military free-fall instructors, with slots available to USASFC operational NCOs if course is not filled.
Prerequisite, readmission, or medical waivers from Commander, 1st Special
Warfare Training Group (Airborne), must be in hand at inprocessing
1. UDT shorts or black PT shorts (5 pr).
2. Brown T-shirts (5 pr).
3. Helmet w/goggles and communications (Gentex, Bunny, or motorcycle).
4. Jump suit (black) or flight suit.
5. Gloves, flight or leather.
6. Gates, gloves (if available).
7. Boots, assault, jungle, or danner (1 pr).
8. HALO rucksack harness with attaching straps and lowering line.
9. Knee pads (optional).
11. BDUís with rank, patches, and insignia (2 pr).
12. BDU cap and beret (1 ea).
14. ID card.
15. ID tags.
16. Current chamber card.
17. Current HALO physical (within last two years).
18. Currnt copy of certified jumprecord.
19. Emergency signal kit (shotgun pouch w/signal mirror, whistle, 1/4 VS-17 panel, strobe light, and compass).
20. Oxygen mask.
Additional items for winter months:
1. Poly-pro (medium and/or lightweight).
2. Sweat suit (unit or military issue only, black preferred).
3. Jump suit liner (for HAHO training).
